AIPMT 2016 Cut Off Marks and Rank Range:

The cut off marks is the lowest score a candidate must score to qualify an examination. The AIPMT cut off marks 2016 is decided by the test conducting authority, the CBSE (Central board of Secondary Education) for admission to medical and dental colleges across India. The AIPMT 2016 cut off marks will be decided by the CBSE after taking into account the number of seats in the colleges, number of applicants appearing and the difficulty level of the entrance exam. The AIPMT 2016 required score to secure a counselling call for admission to the colleges will be announced along with the declaration of the AIPMT 2016 results by the CBSE.

The AIPMT cut off marks 2016 varies every year depending upon many factors such as: difficulty of examinations, number of available seats, and number of applicants. The AIPMT 2016 required score by candidates appearing for the same is expected as: 50% for general, 40% for OBC, SC and ST and 45% for PH candidates. This expected score varies every year and is formally declared by the test taking authority, i.e. the CBSE along with the declaration of the result.

Based on the AIPMT MBBS cut off marks 2016, a pool of top 15% scorers will be invited for counselling. This top 15% of every category from the rank list of the AIPMT. There will be 3 rounds of allotment after the declaration of the result. The round 1 will have 2360 seats up for grabs. The round 2 of seat allotment, will give 1747 seats in the counselling. Now the third round will have a total of 1822 seats. The seats are under the AIQ (All India Quota). The rest of the 85% seats shall be filled by the state merit list, to be compiled by the CBSE separately.
