NEET is the National Eligibility Entrance Test that is primarily designed for the students who choose the career in different fields of medical like MBBS or BDS. This entrance examination is basically conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi for the students to get the admission in different Medical or Dental colleges in the country. NEET is also known as the AIPMT.

CBSE NEET Phase 2 Exam Details:

The exam is conducted in two different phases. The first phase was conducted on the 1st day of May 2016. And recently, the board announced the date for the second phase of the test. The second phase will be held on Sunday, the 24th of July 2016. The announcement was open on the official website of NEET, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. The website is www.aipmt.nic.in/.

The online application forms for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) is available on the website and the students can apply for the registration till midnight on 21st of July 2016. The registration will be closed after midnight on 21st of July 2016.

As per the details on the website, the fee for the examination should be sent through e-challan or by any online payment. The fee for the general candidates is Rs.1400 and Rs.750 for the reserved categories.

The board also said that the students who didn’t register for the first phase of the NEET examination can register for the second phase of the examination. A student cannot apply for the test twice.

There is some eligibility criteria set for the students to appear in the examination. They are:

  1. All Indian candidates and overseas citizen of India can apply for the test.
  2. Have to complete the age of 17 on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
  3. Maximum age limit to appear in the test in 25 years.
  4. Candidates have to pass the 12th exam from any recognized institutions with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology)

CBSE NEET Phase 2 Pattern and other Details:

The NEET Phase 2 will have a set of one paper that will have 180 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The Biology questions will also include some Botany and Zoology questions. The duration of the NEET examination paper will be of 3 hours.

  • The Exam will be held from 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.

Every year end number of students appears in the examination of which few were selected on the basis of the marks secured on the NEET. The board said that this year in the first phase test, a huge number of students appeared in the test. The Central Board of Secondary Education said that the merit list and the all India ranking will be out on the basis of the marks secured in the NEET. They also added that, depending on the marks obtained in the NEET, the candidates will be placed in different medical and dental colleges across the country.
