CBSE to conduct UGC NET 2017 on January 22

UGC NET Jan 2017 Exam Date: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official notification regarding UGC NET Jan 2017 Exam Date. The CBSE conducts UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) twice every year to select the eligible candidates for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor. As per the announcement, the CBSE UGC NET 2017 will be conducted on 22nd January 2017 (Sunday) at the selected centres all across the country.

The NET exam is conducted twice in a year by CBSE on the behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The latest statement released from CBSE says, “It is notified that CBSE will conduct the next UGC-NET for Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor on 22nd January 2017 (Sunday) at selected cities across India.”

UGC NET Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

The UGC NET exam consists of three papers. The all three papers contain multiple choice objective type questions where the candidate has to select the right option.

Paper II and Paper III will carry 50 and 75 questions respectively where all questions will be compulsory to attempt. These papers will cover the entire syllabus including electives. The candidate will be required to choose the right answer for all the questions of Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III on the OMR sheet provided along with the test booklet.

The CBSE has also released answer keys of the CBSE UGC NET 2016 which was conducted on 10th July except in Srinagar where the exam later conducted on 28th August 2016. The NET exam was conducted at 88 pre-decided exam centres in 83 subjects.

The answer keys and question papers of both the exam are available on the official site for around a week and the candidates can cross check their answers from the answer key as per the date and set they have appeared for.
