CBSE UGC NET Admit Card Jan 2017: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the conducting of National Eligibility Test (NET) on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC). NET will be conducted by CBSE in 84 subjects at 90 selected NET examination cities across the country on 22 January 2017. CBSE UGC NET Admit Card will be uploaded on the website in the third week of December 2016.
CBSE UGC NET Admit Card Jan 2017- Releases:
NET is conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian Citizens for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor both in Indian Universities and Colleges.
The UGC NET exam is conducted twice in a year i.e. in the month of JULY-AUGUST and DECEMBER-JANUARY.
UGC NET Exam Schedule:
- Admit Card Release Date: 21.12.2016
- Exam Date: 22.01.2017(Sunday)
Exam Pattern:
The NET Exam consists of three papers. All the three papers are objective type with multiple choice questions.

- Paper I: It is designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness. There will be 60 questions out of which the candidate needs to attempt only 50 questions.
- Paper II: The questions in this session will be from the subjects selected by the candidate. There will be 50 questions with all being compulsory.
- Paper III: The questions in this session again will be from the subjects selected by the candidate but the number of question will be 75 all being compulsory.
The CBSE UGC NET Jan 2017 Admit Card will be there on the website www.cbsenet.nic.in in the third week of December 2016 or from 21 December 2016.
No CBSE UGC NET Admit Card will be send by post. Candidates need to download the CBSE UGC NET Admit Card.
Candidates are requested to check CBSE UGC NET Jan 2017 Hall Ticket for the venue they have selected and make sure they reach the same venue as mentioned in the UGC NET Jan 2017 Admit Card on time.
The candidates are requested to bring a photo identity proof along with the CBSE UGC NET Admit Card on 22.01.2017(SUNDAY).

The candidate should attain the minimum marks in all the paper to get shortlisted. The top 15% candidate from the shortlisted candidate would be declared NET qualified.
