Important Instructions for CBSE UGC NET 2017

  • The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a notification regarding the commencement of the National Eligibility Test (NET) which is to be held on 22.01.2017 for recruiting all the eligible folks for the post of the Assistant Professor only and the Junior Research Fellowship in the Indian Universities/Colleges.
  • Recruitment of the suitable candidates for the following posts will totally depend on the performance of the candidate in all the papers of NET followed by the interview. The appearing candidates should clearly mention about the post they are applying for in the Application Form.
  • The CBSE NET JAN 2017 Examination’s result will be made available on its official website www.cbsenet.nic.in when it is declared. The candidate will not be notified individually about the status of their results. They need to check the website on a regular basis after the examination.
  • For the candidates other than the GEN category (for ST/SC/OBC/PH), special concessions are awarded to them as decided by the UGC.
  • The candidates who wish to appear in the CBSE NET JAN 2017 Exam needs to fill an online application form which is mandatory as no hard copies of the application form will be accepted by the CBSE. Also, the candidates need to ensure that the application form is completely filled with all the correct details as the incomplete application forms will be rejected by the CBSE.
  • The candidates need to take out the printout of an online application for future reference.
  • All the applications will only be accepted on /before the last date of online submission of the application form i.e. 17th November/2016.
  • There may be a change in the city of exam or the date of examination by the CBSE without intimating the reason for change to the candidates
  • The candidates are notified that their Admit Card would be uploaded on the official web portal www.cbsenet.nic.in in the third week of December/2016. All the aspirants are requested to determine their venue of the exam as stated in the Admit Card and appear for the same only at the allotted examination hall/place.
  • The candidates are required to bring a photo identity proof/card also along with the Admit Card on the day of the exam as no without the admit card, no candidate would be allowed to appear for the exam.
  • The candidates are required to reach the examination center 2 hrs before the examination starts. The candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination room before 10:45 AM in the 1st session, 12:30 PM in the 2nd session and 4:30 p.m. in the 3rd session.
  • Carrying calculators or log tables, mobile phones, pagers, electronic devices, bits of paper, books/notebooks etc. are strictly prohibited in the Examination Room. The candidate found in possession of any of these unfair means in the examination room will not be considered eligible for giving the exam.
  • All the appearing candidates have to follow the instructions as given by the invigilators in the examination room.
  • There will be no negative marking for any incorrect answer.
  • The OMR Sheet of Paper I & II and Paper-III have to be submitted to the Invigilator before leaving the examination hall.
  • The candidates should note that the fee will not be refunded once it is paid.
  • The final result will be declared on the basis of the answer keys released by the official authority.
