CLAT 2016 Application Form- Eligibility Details:

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is carried out every year by the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab for the selection of the most deserving candidates to grant admission in undergraduate and postgraduate law courses. 17 institutes participate in this exam to admit law students from all parts of the country. The stages of admission through CLAT include online application, examination, and the declaration of results. About half a lakh of students appear in this exam every year. Moreover, the score of an applicant in CLAT is also considered by several non-participating institutes as a criterion of admission. It is important that the students thoroughly go through the e-brochure and the notification before they begin to apply.

CLAT 2016 Application Form Online:

Before the students can go on to fill out the online application form, they need to register at the CLAT website. Submit the CLAT 2016 registration form, and you will receive your user-ID and password through email. After this, the candidates can login to complete the application form and submit it. CLAT 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Here are the norms of eligibility set by the University for appearing in the exam.

UG Courses:

A candidate of General, OBC or SAP category must have scored at least 45% marks in class 12^th from a recognized school board. The minimum marks obtained by applicants of SC or ST category must be 40%. Besides, candidates pursuing class 12^th in the academic year 2015-2016 can also apply.

PG Courses:

The candidate must have a degree in LLB or an equivalent course. The minimum percentage for the candidates of unreserved, OBC or SAP category is 55, while it is 50 for those belonging to SC or ST category.

The first phase of application will require you to fill necessary details, and choose your preferences of institutes. The next phase asks you to upload your passport size (30mm x 45mm, maximum 100kB and in JPG format) photograph. If applicable, you also need to upload a scanned copy of your SC / ST / SAP certificate. Also, a fee payment (Rs.3500 for SC / ST, and Rs.4000 for OBC, SAP and others) must be made. Offline payment must be made latest by 28^th March 2016. The last date for submitting the complete application form online is 31^st March 2016.
