The Common Entrance Test (CAT) conducted by Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) for admission to their graduate engineering programs is scheduled for 30th April 2016. The first notification of the examination was announced in the last week of January, 2016 and the online registration process ended on April 30th for the international students. The CUSAT 2016 admit card was available for download from 19th of April.
CUSAT CAT 2016 Answer Key
Today the examination has been conducted in two sessions and the CUSAT CAT 2016 Answer Key will be published for both the papers. The first session will begin from 9.30am in the morning and the second session will be on from 2pm in the noon. Students writing the test and looking forward to their admission to the engineering courses in the colleges under CUSAT are suggested to check out the CUSAT CAT 2016 Answer Key in order to get a clear idea about their performance in both the sessions of the test.
After the test is over the CUSAT CAT 2016 Answer Key will be made available by the examination authority on the official site of the university, http://www.cusat.ac.in/ and students can check the answers right from the site. Different coaching institutes preparing students for the CUSAT 2016 Admission will also release their own CUSAT CAT Answer Key 2016. Students can also refer to that. However, the keys published on the official site will be considered as full and final.
CUSAT CAT 2016 Exam Review 30 April
As already mentioned, this year the exam will be conducted in two sessions. The first paper will cover only mathematics as a subject while the second paper will include questions from Chemistry and Physics. The exam will be conducted in offline mode, which means the students will need to mark their answers on the OMR sheet. All the questions in both the papers will be of multiple choice type with four options for each. There will be total 250 questions carrying maximum mark of 750. Each of the questions in the paper will have 3 marks and there is also a steep negative marking scheme under which 1 mark will be deducted from the total score of the student for each wrong answer.
CUSAT CAT 2016 Paper Analysis- Paper 1 & Paper 2:
According to the CUSAT CAT 2016 Paper Analysis the paper on mathematics will contain total 125 questions and carry total 375 marks. The syllabus of the paper will follow the syllabus of 10+2 level mathematics and hence students fluent on their +2 mathematics syllabus can actually expect a better performance. The second paper will include 75 questions of physics and 50 questions from Chemistry 10+2 level and the marks allotted for each of these two sections will be 225 and 150 respectively.
The CUSAT CAT Answer Key 30 April will be available paper wise and section wise in order to offer the students a clear idea about their performance in the test. No information about the date of publication of CUSAT CAT 2016 result has been notified yet. However, it is expected that at least some tentative date of the result will be informed after the CUSAT CAT 2016 Answer Key has been made available.
