IIT JEE Main 2017 Cut Off Marks [Expected]

IIT JEE Main 2017 Cut Off Marks: IIT Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2017 exam would be undertaken by the aspiring students in the First week of April [offline] and Second Week of April [online]. Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) is the convener for IIT JEE Main 2017. The wishful students targeting the best engineering colleges should always be aware of the paper pattern and the JEE Main 2017 Cut Off Marks.

IIT JEE Main 2017 Cut Off Marks-

The Joint Entrance Exam Main is considered by all the leading institutes but to get into IITs, the aspiring candidates need to undertake JEE Advance which is organized by one of the IITs. According to The Ministry of Human Resource Development there would be no weightage given to the marks of Standard 12 for calculating the JEE (Main) Examination Rank and for candidates to qualify for the admission of the leading institutes such IITs/IIITs/NITs should secure atleast 75% marks in their 12th Standard or equivalent for General Category and for SC\ST the qualifying marks would be 65% or equivalent. CBSE has made AADHAR CARD compulsory for all the candidates applying for JEE Main Exam 2017.

 IIT JEE Main 2017 Cut Off Marks:

The JEE Main 2017 Cut off Marks will be decided by the CBSE and will be declared in the last week of April. According to the minimum marks decided the All India Rank (AIR) of the candidates would be declared. The cutoff for JEE Main is calculated on the basis of the complexity and the availability of the seats.

Last year the Exam conducting committee had decided to lower the cut-off marks for the Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe and hence the cut-off for 2016 is less than that of 2015 for both the category.

JEE Main Rank List:

The answer key for JEE Main would be released in the third week of April 2017 and the result would be declared in the end of April 2017. The All India Rank (AIR) would be released by the conducting authority and the top 2, 20,000 candidates would be eligible to appear for JEE Advance in May. The JEE Main AIR would be considered by many of the universities along with some weightage to the marks of standard 12 for the admission process. The candidates aspiring for NITs, IITs, IIITs will have to be in the top ranker so that they could appear for JEE Advance 2017.
