Staff Selection Commission (SSC) had conducted exams for Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier 2 from November 30, 2016 to December 2, 2016. Total 1, 20,993 candidates appeared for the exam at 356 venues in 57 cities in 2 shifts. Out of 356 venues 23 venues reported technical problems and disturbance from other candidates. SSC has taken the grievances of candidates into consideration and has taken a serious action of conducting SSC CGL Tier 2 Re Exam tentatively on 12-13 January 2017.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Details

The CGL exam is conducted in three tiers. The tier I exam was conducted in the month of August. A Re Exam for the same of conducted for one batch of candidates in the month of October. The result for Tier 1 was declared on 08.11.2016 and the exams for Tier 2 were conducted on November 30 to December 2, 2016.
SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Instructions
The SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam 2016 conducted on 30th November 2016 to 2nd December 2016 had received application from 1, 49,330 candidates. The number of candidates that appeared for the exam at 356 venues in 57 cities across the country in 2 shifts were 1, 20,933 (80.93%). The exam went off successfully without any untoward incident in 333 venues.
The commission had received issues of technical and other related problems during the examination at some of the venues from some of the candidates. The commission is having the representations received up to December 9, 2016 with the examination done by the Technical Service Provider both objectively and comprehensively.
Details about SSC CGL Tier 2 Re Exam 2016:
The commission has decided to conduct SSC CGL Re Exam Date for suffered candidates tentatively on January 12-13, 2017.
The commission reached the conclusion of Re Exam after examining the video footage’s of the venues where some candidates have been actively involved in instigating and disturbing other candidates to interrupt the examination process.
The commission will take strict action against such candidates which may include disqualification and prohibition for a period of 3 years, in agreement with the exact guidelines.
The commission has not yet released the list of the candidates that will appear for the SSC CGL Tier 2 Re-Exam and has neither released the notice for the venues for which the exam would be conducted. The commission will send notice to the candidates whose grievances are found to genuine.
Candidates may take a note that the SSC CGL Tier 2 Re Exam Date 2016 is tentative and are subject to change.
A notice by chairman of the commission states that the result of SSC CGL 2016 would be declared in the month of April 2017.
The commission has taken the matter seriously and is working towards the grievance handling of the candidates.
