The exam is conducted in two stages: 1. Prelims, 2. Mains.
UPSC Civil Service Mains Application Form 2015 Details:-
The candidate has to qualify the screening prelims exam in order to be able to appear in UPSC civil services main exam. However the marks of prelims exam is not calculated when compiling the merit list of candidates. This year, the civil services preliminary exam 2015 was held on 28th of August, 2015. The candidates who qualify this preliminary screening exam shall then have to fill the UPSC civil service mains application form 2015 or UPSC Civil Services Main Registration Form 2015. The UPSC civil service mains application form shall only be available to those candidates who clear the prelims exam successfully.

UPSC Civil Services (IAS) December 2015 Registration:
The Union Public Service Commission shall application forms for UPSC IAS mains application to those candidates who have cleared their prelims exams successfully held in august this year. The application forms for UPSC IAS Mains Exam 2015 will be released to eligible candidates who have passed the prelims from October 29, 2015 to November 13, 2015. The UPSC IAS mains December 2015 registration shall be done in this aforesaid period. The IAS mains (UPSC civil services mains 2015) exam shall be held on December 18 to December 23, 2015 for those eligible candidates who have cleared the prelims exam as well as filled the form for mains exam 2015. For appearing in UPSC IAS mains exam it is mandatory to fill up the UPSC IAS Mains December 2015 registration form. Without this, the eligible candidates shall not be allowed to appear for the mains exam even if they have qualified the prelims exam.
In accordance with the notification issued by the UPSC, all candidates seeking candidature need to apply within the stipulated period, and must apply to ‘Under Secretary (CSM), Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069’. The hard copy of the Detailed Application Form (DAF) must reach the commission: Under Secretary (CSM), Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi – 110069 on or before the specified last date of application.
IAS Mains December 2015 Registration Fee:
Candidates seeking candidature shall have to remit an application fee of Rs. 200 through the CRF (Central Recruitment Fee) stamps available at the post offices. However, female candidates and candidates belonging to the reserved categories are exempted from this fee.
