UPSC Civil Services (IAS) 2016 Registration Details 2016:
The Union Public Service Commission is responsible for carrying out several recruitment processes for filling different vacant posts under the government every year. It has recently announced that the application forms for the IAS preliminary exam 2016 are soon to be released. The official date on which the forms will be available on the UPSC website is 23rd April 2016. A great number of aspirants from all over the country will be appearing in the exam, and such interested candidates must fill the UPSC Civil Services Application form 2016 online as soon as it is released. The candidates are supposed to submit the complete application form by the last date which is 20th May 2016. IAS 2016 Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualifications:
- Graduation from a university recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC) in any field.
- Candidates awaiting the result of the qualifying exam after appearing in it are also eligible to apply as long as they submit to the UPSC the qualification certificate and the mark-sheet before the Main Exam.
The Qualification Examination here can be the graduation examination or an equivalent degree in a 3 or 4 years course.
Age Limit;
- The candidate must be between 21 to 32 years of age (both the limits included) as of 1st July 2016.
- As prescribed by the GOI, the candidates are applicable for relaxation of the age limit.
Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
Application Fee:
- The general candidates are supposed to pay an application fee of Rs.100/-.
- The Female / SC / ST / PH candidates do not have to pay any fee.
- Online Payment: The fee can be submitted online through the Net Banking facility provided by State Bank of India, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur, State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Patiala or State Bank of Travancore. Optionally, the candidate can use a Visa, Master Credit or Debit Card.
- Cash Payment: The fee can be paid in cash at any branch of the State Bank of India. A system-generated payment slip can be printed out during the Part II Registration, and payment can be made at an SBI branch using it.
