WBJEE 2016 Cut Off Marks:

The Rank of the candidate of WB JEE is determined by considering their scores obtained in exam. To qualify for any colleges under WB JEE 2016 every candidate must have secured minimum marks mentioned every year in WB JEE. Only after crossing the benchmark of cut off marks category wise, the candidate’s name will appear in the merit list. The merit list will be listed in a decreasing fashion. The candidate who secures the highest marks will be ranked as the topper. WB JEE Cut Off Marks 2016:

WB JEE 2016 Cut Off is the closing and opening rank of difference courses or branches at various participating colleges. The Cut Off of WB JEE 2016 will be close to that of WB JEE 2015. The candidates will get seats according to their preferences given during counselling, Cut Off rules of WB 2016 and their performance in WB JEE 2016 exam. Separate course or branch wise and institute wise opening and closing rank will be declared for WB JEE 2016.

West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board.

The WB JEE Board was formed in the year 1962 with an aim to provide quality education in the field of engineering at an undergraduate level in the state of west Bengal. Gradually the WB JEE board also starts conducting exam for medical, dental, pharmacy and architecture for admission in Universities, Government Colleges and Self- financed Institutes in the state.

For the academic session 2016-2017 the Board has conducted common entrance exam for admission in Universities, Government Colleges, and Self- Financed Institutes in the state.

WB JEE Reservation of Seats:

The examination board has also a provision of reservation. The reservation of seats under WB JEE 2016 will be as per Government of West Bengal. The SC/ST/PwD/OBC students of other students are not entitled to this provision. However, the PwD candidates will be qualified only if they have 50%-70% disability. If the under quota seats remain unfilled, then the candidate with locomotor disability of lower limbs between 40%-50% will get an opportunity for admission under reserved seats.

In the light of the above discussion, one can conclude that every student should sit for WB JEE at least once and get a chance to study in Top Colleges of West Bengal.
