The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board is one of the oldest departments. The main motive of set this examination is to help the students to get admission in different colleges of West Bengal in various field of Pharmacy, Architecture, Medical, Dental, and Engineering & Technology. This examination can only be conducted in the state of West Bengal.

The students have to give the exam for three subjects: Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. Each subject carries 100 marks and Biology carries 150 marks. There is also a negative marking process for the examination.
